For …Just pick whichever you prefer, hydra is dead easy to learn regardless. Melee is slightly faster, but also slightly more effort. Like most others have said, blowpipe to learn, then when it is nerfed you should already be pretty good at Hydra so the transition to a different range weapon (ie. dhcb) or even melee with the dhl should be pretty easy.

Went back to hydra for the first time in a long time with a tbow (most was done with lance) and totally forgot you don’t get dragged to the correct tile for fire skips if your ranging lol.
