Tanks don't need a giant's sword in general. It is a good sword, but tanks don't really need it. I also don't find it necessary for archers.

My friend calculated it, withered is only better on Daedalus axe. Also fabled is even better on a livid dagger because of the 20% more damage chance, which will proc more often because of attack speed. The only chance withered is better is at about cata 46+. withered is still the best, provided you have a decent cata lvl.
