I remember a few years back that johnson outboards had a problem with the injection system mounts or something breaking, spraying gas all over the engine and starting fires.Aug 9, 2007 · 97 Johnson 150 Ocean Pro fuel pump replacement? Speaking as someone who has a 2000 model 130hp Johnson I can tell you they are very good engines. The OMC problems from this era are because of the Evinrude ficht fuel injected engine problems. The carb models are very strong and reliable. Mine is actually fairly fuel efficient for a carbed 2 stroke.
